You’ve found the Chicago source for information on Gamma Phi Beta’s 71 Biennial Convention, set for June 23 – 27, at Marriott’s Lincolnshire Resort.

We hope that you will be one of the over 600 Gamma Phi Beta members that will join us at Convention this summer. The Chicago Convention Committee and hundreds of volunteers are eager be your hostesses.  We are working to anticipate your every need. Deluxe motor coaches will carry you from O'Hare to the Marriott, Convention meals will give you a taste of the flavors of Chicago and the grounds of the Marriott provide lovely areas for leg-stretching walks in fresh air between meetings.  If you can come early or stay an extra day, you can enjoy a striking architecture tour or an afternoon at Wrigley Field. 


We have created a checklist that we hope will help you plan the perfect Gamma Phi excursion.

Checklist for Convention 2004

  • Register for Convention - Full-Time or Part-Time
    After you review the Convention materials, submit your registration forms and payment to IH by May 31, 2004.  Register by April 26th to qualify for the early registration discount.
  • Sign up for Play Day activities
    Before you go any further, check out our Play Day opportunities.  If you can come in a day early or spend Sunday with us, you'll be able to enjoy a day in downtown Chicago.  Please sign up by May 25, 2004.

    Please note:  We have received multiple requests for Oprah tickets.  Unfortunately Oprah will not be filming June - August.

  • Make Hotel reservations
    The Convention rate of $104 per night, plus tax is available for two days before and after Convention.  Please make reservations by May 31, 2004.
  • Book flights
    Chicago O'Hare is the official airport for Convention.  Gamma Phi greeters will be there to meet you and direct you to the motor coaches to the Marriott. 

    Ground transportation is provided from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Central Time on Wednesday, June 23rd and from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon on Sunday, June 27th.

    Please note:  If you are arriving or departing outside of these times,
    please check out your ground transportation alternatives.
  • Check the Convention Bulletin Board
    This on-line bulletin board is the perfect way to connect with other members to help find a room mate or travel companion.
  • Buy the Fish! book
    Friday's keynote speaker will bring the Fish! philosophy on inspiration and motivation to life.  Be ready to make the most of it and read the book before Convention.
  • Shop, pack your bags and get set for a GREAT Gamma Phi Beta experience!
